WIKI

Wow, I have never been so confused trying to figure something out. It's not feeling very user friendly to me.

I probably shouldn't try to do stuff like this when I'm tired. I've had a big week in the library. It started with training the entire staff on how to use my library software. Then I presented a copyright info and ended with how to use Pioneer Online Library. The staff was very receptive and I feel it went well. I had to present it 5 times to 6-7 mentors at a time. It forced me to learn more info so that I could present.

This afternoon I conducted another meeting. It was for the library committee. I trained them further on how to use Titlewave from Follett Library Resources. It's an incredible website to search books. I love it.

I'm also trying to organize a book fair to get more books in the library. We don't have a PTA at my school and so I'm kind of the head guru getting this off the ground. It's a little overwhelming trying to do it all. I did find a parent today to help me organize my volunteers for it. There is just too much going on right now.

As I watched the Wiki intro video I could the see the value and how it really helps people collaborate. I got excited because at faculty meeting this week we were discussing simulations. We are trying to collaborate through email on what we want to do. As I watched the Wiki video I got excited realizing that it will be a great tool to help us work together.

I am feeling a little confused about the wiki being free. It looks like there is a fee for an educator wiki so I'm not sure what that means? Rachel Murphy, Kearns High School Librarian has an incredible wiki that blow my mind. I visited her for my practicum and she' incredible. I look forward to figuring this out further.

The URL for my Wiki is http://www.paradigmlibary.pbworks.com

I changed my URL to wikispaces I am much more happy with it. It is much more user friendly. MY URL is now http://pages4patriots.wikispaces.com
